Delete Account
You have the right to delete your GenCare Connect account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains what happens when you delete your account and how to do it.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When your account deletion is processed, the following actions are taken:
- Your login credentials are permanently revoked. You will not be able to sign in using your email and password.
- Your personal profile data — including your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and address — is removed from our systems.
- Your health profile information, including self-reported medical conditions, allergies, medications, and onboarding responses, is deleted.
- Your payment records and billing history are purged from our application database.
- Chat message history and community group posts associated with your account are deleted.
- Uploaded files including profile photos, medical documents, and credential files stored under your account are permanently removed from our file storage.
- Your push notification tokens are deregistered and deleted.
Full purge timeline: Account deletion and removal of personal data from our active systems is completed within 30 days of your request. Data contained in encrypted backup archives is purged on our routine backup rotation schedule, which completes within 90 days of the deletion request.
Retained data: We may retain certain records where required by applicable law. Clinical records (diagnoses, care plans, clinical notes, visit records) may be subject to healthcare record retention requirements under state or federal law, which can require retention for a minimum of seven to ten years. Financial transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax and financial regulations. Audit log entries may be retained for compliance purposes. Retained records are de-identified or minimized to the extent permitted by law.
